Whitecourt “Where Even the Rivers Meet.”
Located a short 165 kilometres northwest of Edmonton on Highway 43, the Town of Whitecourt and Woodlands County, with a population of over 10,000, is a diverse and thriving community. Surrounded by beautiful forests, majestic rivers and breath-taking scenery – the Whitecourt community is waiting to welcome you. Hunting, fishing, hiking, biking, snowmobiling and quadding – there are year round activities for all in this outdoor playground. Whitecourt is a sports oriented community, summer and winter. Hockey has been and continues to be the winter recreation of choice for hundreds of boys, girls and adults in the community. The latest addition to the hockey scene in Whitecourt, the Junior B Wolverines, is having a very successful first season with tremendous and enthusiastic fan support. This same kind of support extends to the other minor hockey organizations in the community, and none more so than the Whitecourt Spruceland Ford Midget Mustangs. The Mustangs, year in and year out, have enjoyed unflagging support from fans, sponsors and the local media, and this support will never be more enthusiastic than it will be this year as we welcome the rest of the province to Whitecourt for the Investors Group Hockey Alberta Midget A Provincials.
