Gold Medal Winners!

 2010 Investors Group Hockey Alberta Atom Female Provincials have come to an exciting close. Ten Atom Female teams came to Calgary from across Alberta to participate in this years four day event.
Congratulations to Sherwood Park, the Gold Medal winners.
With a score of 4-2, the game was an outstanding example of good sportsmanship and excellent officiating. Kaylin Schellenberg, Airdrie's goalie, kept her team in the game with some amazing saves. Sherwood Park was relentless in the offensive zone as well as being strong defensively. Forward Kaylee Vader, let go some powerful shots. Sherwood Park went undefeated throughout the tournament. In closing the Organizing Committee would like to thank the participants, sponsors and volunteers for making this a successful and memorable event.

The Source for Sports Play SMART (Shaping Minds, Attitudes and Respect together) Program was introduced to help spread the message of fair play and respect in the game of hockey.
Grand Prairie Cobras were chosen as this events "Play Smart" Winners.
