The Brooks SYNTECH Storm Midget AA Hockey club, along with the Brooks Minor Hockey Association are pleased to be selected to host the 2010 Investors Group Provincial Tournament.

Brooks (population 13,500) is located approximately 180 kilometers east of Calgary . The city of Brooks is celebrating its centennial anniversary in 2010.

The majority of games for the tournament will be played in the new 1,700 seat Centennial Regional Arena which opened on Friday January 15/2010.

Brooks has always been known as an oil and gas, plus agricultural community. New housing developments, business and industrial projects have been completed over the past decade.

Every year Brooks hosts major events. The Cactus Classic Pro Curling tour stop has become a favorite among prominent world curlers. This is the 10 year anniversary season for the local Alberta Junior Hockey League Brooks Bandits. The community support for the Bandits and Minor Hockey has always been strong.
